| I started building drag race cars
when I was eighteen. For the next thirty plus years I built drag
race cars and street rods and worked on all manner of motorsports
vehicles. Along the way I learned a few very important things, No
one knows it all, Anything you need to know is available to learn, there
are many people out there who will Rip You Off and that most venders
have no idea what you want or need much less care.
Over the years my race cars have
won races and garnered best engineered awards. These accomplishments are
because I believe there is ALWAYS a better way of getting something
done. I take the time to study a problem or listen to my customer
and then develop a plan or product that meets their needs, in the
simplest form, and with the least amount of fuss on their part. I believe
that CLOSE ENOUGH is not GOOD ENOUGH. When it is right, that is when
it is done.
The CAD work evolved from the need to
have updatable designs that could be repeated and stored in a safe
manner, not a bunch of scribbles in a spiral notebook.. To get that level of
service from the "normal" world was cost prohibitive and most times
they had no idea what I needed. Also it
was a challenge and I LOVE challenges. I began teaching myself 2D
CAD and then moved onto 3D CAD.
Ask anyone I have worked for and they
will tell you I put in way to much time just to get it right and at the
quoted price. That means sometimes I lose my as#. But getting it
right and having a satisfied customer are my number one goals.
